Issue No. 20 August 2010

Welcome to the August 2010 edition of LeafTales, Gecko's monthly newsletter!

Thanks to renowned 'green' international flooring company, InterfaceFLOR, Gecko's office now has fancy new modular carpet tiles. The layout of lower Gecko House has also been changed and we invite you to come in, check it out and relax in the library, the lounge, or on the outdoor setting overlooking beautiful Currumbin Creek.

We really are in a special location – even dolphins are known to regularly come through the seaway and say hi to us near Throwers Bridge. Speaking of dolphins, the local dolphin sighting network are holding a workshop on August 6th. Find out more below.

The night before that, we are hosting the second in our series of climate change workshops at Griffith Uni. While the annual Walk Against Warming is being held on August 15th. Timely events given the upcoming Federal election where both major parties seem keen on more inaction in addressing climate change.

And don't forget our guest speaker this Wednesday – tracking turtles on south straddie.

We look forward to seeing you around the House, and beyond.

Ben Perkins
Manager
